Country Line Dancing & Lessons

Date: Every Thursday

Location: Mason VFW Post #7309 located at 1243 Hull Road (Just south of Mason)

Time: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Description: Get your family and friends together and learn how to country style line dance! Cost is $5 per person. Line dancing will begin after class. Cash bar and grille will be available on location. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival

Date: April 26 – 29, 2018

Location: Downtown Shepherd

Time: TBD

Description: Great event for everyone. Activities include parades, car display, carnival, tractor and horse pulls, bingo, arts and crafts and many more! And don’t forget: delicious pancake meals all weekend long!

Commercial Bank Mason 5K

Date: May 4, 2018

Location: Downtown Mason (starts in front of the court house on Ash Street)

Time: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Description: Grab your gear and get ready for the Annual Commercial Bank Mason 5K Run/Walk/Roll (we welcome runners, walkers and those racing in wheelchairs and other assistive devices.) 2018 will be the 30th year the race has been held in downtown Mason! To celebrate the anniversary, there will be kids’ activities before, during and after the races. Activities include face painting, balloon crafting, extra activities and a DJ for all to enjoy.

You may register any time now until 11:59 p.m. on May 3, 2018 by visiting by visiting Cost is $27 for the 5K and Bulldog Runs, $12 for the 1-mile Bulldog Run and $12 for the 100-yard Bulldog Dash. Anyone who registers on or before April 27 is guaranteed a shirt. Registrations after April 27 receive shirts while supplies last.

Alma Highland Festival and Games

Date: May 26 – 27, 2018

Location: Alma College campus

Description: A weekend full of highland dancing, bagpiping, kilts and camaraderie joined by members of Scottish clans. Join in on this fun event fit for everyone!

Yankee Doodle Days

Date: June 21 – 30, 2018

Location: Jaycee Park (525 E. River St. in Grand Ledge)

Time: TBD

Description: This family-friendly community event in Grand Ledge is full of summer fun! Festivities include live music, food, parade, kids’ day and more!

Ingham County Fair

Date: July 30 – August 4, 2018

Location: Ingham County Fairgrounds (700 E. Ash St. in Mason)

Time: TBD

Description: The Ingham County Fair offers something for everyone that you won’t want to miss!  Enjoy grandstand events, full-contact jousting, a teen-foam dance party, hundreds of exhibits and more!

Greenville Car Show

Date: August 4, 2018

Location: Downtown Greenville

Time: TBD

Description: Come enjoy food, prizes and hundreds of cool cars in Greenville this summer. There will also be a DJ to keep your pistons hummin’ with great tunes in Greenville’s historic downtown. To volunteer or enter your car in the car show, contact the Greenville Chamber of Commerce.

Danish Festival

Date: Every 3rd Weekend in August

Location: Downtown Greenville

Time: TBD

Description: Become a Dane for a day and celebrate Greenville’s Danish heritage! At the event, you may enjoy authentic Danish food, Hans Christian Andersen play, Grand Dansk parade, family fun day, Lake of Illumination, fireworks, Lego contest and much more! The Danish Festival also hosts an outdoor arts & crafts fair. (It’s one of the largest arts & crafts fairs in Michigan!)

Old US 27 Motor Tour

Date: August 20 – 26, 2018

Description: Come see hundreds of classic cars as they tour the nostalgic Old US 27 on their 12-year anniversary. More details to come!
