Tell us about you

I grew up in Clare and was raised on a family farm where I quickly learned the importance of hard work and perseverance.  Both of those qualities came into play as I attended school at Northwood University and earned my degree in Banking & Finance/Business Management. At Northwood, I pursued the opportunity to study abroad and this decision greatly shaped my perspective as a whole and still impacts who I am today. Since graduating, I have spent the majority of my career in banking and community driven roles. In my free time, you will find me spending time (working) with my family on the farm, traveling with my husband, baking, and enjoying nature in many forms.

What do you love most about your job?

What quickly comes to mind - is connecting with people. Everyone is completely unique in what they bring to the table and this is something I have learned to value. Additionally, I view banking as a service to people, we’re here to help when needed and to educate - which allows individuals to make strong financial decisions. Everyone gets a choice who they want to bank with and it’s our responsibility to create long term relationships where we are top of mind.

Community Involvement

I have served in various roles for the following organizations: Heartland District - Boy Scouts, Junior Achievement, Midland Business Alliance, Young Professionals, United Way, Midland Noon Exchange Club, Leadership Midland, and Midland County ESA.

Why do you love working for a community bank?

At the heart of a community, there are real lives, real people, real impact. We believe in the communities we reside in and work to create meaningful investments to support them.
